Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Length: 3776 On the way to the venue I was following Parson's tour bus! Do you believe it...here I was trying to drive and adjust the bodice on my dress at the same time...I look up to find the tour bus next to me and everybody looking at me from their window and laughing. I could have died. Later after the show, alot of them said hi to me and told me they saw me on their way into town, but they were kind enough not to mention the busom adjusting while driving :) Thanks to Wesley and his words to Ian, not only did I have two backstage passes, but he left me two comp tickets! Great seats...of course the seats I had bought were better...but he was truly glad to see me and asked about the passes. I thanked him profusely and he started blushing. It was adorable! Before the show started I found him behind the main stage curtain putting superglue on his fingers! I introduced myself and asked if he was ok. He said he was glad to meet me and that the superglue keeps his fingers from getting shredded while playing. wow!!! The show was spectacular...unfortunately, the venue was half empty. I was disappointed to see such a miserable turn out for what I considered to be the show of the decade! The crowd went crazy for Ian's guitar solos The set list was the same as posted earlier. He actually came over and played directly to me a few times during the show...then it was my turn to blush. After the show I must have had 10 guys ask me if I was Ian's girlfriend. < blushing even more then > After they played BUIH, I grabbed the huge arrangement of flowers I had made for Ian and handed it to him onstage. This generated a standing ovation from the crowd. It was kind of fun. He was all blushing and stammering. So cute! Apparently the security crew there thought I was with the band so I had all access backstage during and after the show. I didn't take advantage of it, however, I didn't want to intrude on their privacy. I talked with Peter Beckett's girlfriend for awhile. She was really sweet. Apparently Peter is from my neck of the woods, he used to play with a local band at my hangout in the early 80's, we had some fun reminiscing about those days. But we didn't remember each other from then...we both chalked it up to too much alcohol consumption at the time. The band was truly exhausted. This trip is wearing them out. Ian felt like he was coming down with the flu and told me that once he got his first standing ovation he felt infused with energy from the crowd and found the strength to carry on. But he was pale after the show and I advised him to take copious quantities of Vitamin C. I was really worried about him. We went out towards the tour bus and he was mobbed by fans who didn't have a backstage pass and were waiting outside. Some were really wasted and behaved in a very bizarre manner. He looked to me and said "help!" So I grabbed him and asked him to walk me to my car. He was grateful to get away from the weirdos and walked me to my car. He thanked me again for the flowers and actually asked me if I wanted the vase back. He's so thoughtful. I explained that I had been planning this for sometime and I picked that vase out specifically for him. He said he was touched. He took my card and made sure that it contained my e-mail address. He promised to keep in touch. He then waved me off and went back to the crowd blocking his path onto the bus. I just hope he made it ok...he was really getting mobbed there for awhile! I took some great pictures of me, Mitch and Tom from the list and of us with Alan, Ian and Stewart. As soon as the pics are developed I'll scan them in and upload them to you... Signing off Kathy
