Where am I:
As of May 1st, 1997, My wife Sharon and I are touring around the world by motorcycle and plan to do so for the next 2-3 years.
I worked for Spyglass Inc on the Unix version of the Spyglass enhanced mosaic browser.
In addition to implementing various web browser features, I wrote the client and server SSL 2.0 & SSL 3.0 libraries for Spyglass.
I use to work at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign as a computer nerd. I was the project lead and a developer for X Mosaic versions 2.5 and 2.6b. Previous to this I worked on a network based synchronous collaborative tool called Collage and a video conferencing tool. Before this I developed data analysis tools such as XImage. I conceived and implemented the GLUE project which was a "metacomputing" API dynamic function library which allowed for process launching and dynamic load balancing across a heterogenous set of machines. I also worked on cool software such as the Jimmy Johns submarine sandwich ordering agent .
